Katie Holmes looks a little too casual in a grey top and headscarf

Dressed down: Katie Holmes opted for a frumpy-looking grey top for her outing to a Beverly Hills chocolate shop

We're used to seeing Katie Holmes looking casual - but the actress seemed to have left her sense of style at home when she went shopping in Los Angeles for Easter treats.

The 32-year-old looked a tad frumpy in a grey hooded top and cropped black leggings as she left an LA gym and visited the Beverly Hills chocolate store Teuscher to buy chocolate bunnies.

And Katie, who completed her dressed down look with a pair of grey knitted boots and a patterned headscarf, clutched a coffee cup and looked tired as she shopped.

Of course, it has been a busy time for Tom Cruise's wife, who is probably looking to relax a little after last weekend's lavish celebrations for daughter Suri's fifth birthday.

Suri - who already developed quite expensive taste with $850 Ferragamo bags and $635 designer dresses at her disposal - held court at the head of the table at the outdoor celebration, according to reports.

Clashing: Katie attempted to liven up her outfit with a printed headscarf and bag - but the two patterns clashed

Despite the recent controversy and poor ratings for her mini-series The Kennedys, Katie is hoping for big screen success later this year with two new films due for release.

Firstly, she will appear in the cop thriller The Son Of No-One, which also stars Channing Tatum and Al Pacino.

And Katie has also recently filmed the comedy Jack and Jill - which sees co-star Adam Sandler playing male and female twins.
